What’s important to me
Being productive and knowing that I’m contributing the right things for the right outcomes
Seeing the big picture and strategy behind the work that is being done
Having a deadline to work with and having a clear idea of what excellence means to you
Using creative technologies to stay linked with a team, generate ideas, and build on creative concepts
Returning to the wooded trails to walk and think with my dog, Nora
Reading about current politics, occasionally reading autobiographies, marching in the streets when necessary
My three beautiful and loving children
Helping to make sure that the leaders of tomorrow are given the tools and lessons learned for those that precede them to do great things
Know that you are “OK”; I tend to check on this frequently
How best to support me
When preparing for a presentation it’s helpful to know as much as possible about how the room is set up, who is there and how many. Having an opportunity to physically visit beforehand is great.
If you ask me if you can help, ask twice. I tend to say no the first time but really appreciate your generosity.
I’m still exploring ways to remember names better. Help if you can.
I rarely answer my phone. Please leave a message and I will return the call right away.
Let me in on how you a seeing my work for you fitting in to the larger goals of your organization or project.
