Bespoke organisational support
A person-centred organisation puts individuals at the heart of everything they do. This includes people they work for or support and their families, staff, and other stakeholders. Although many of us like to think we’re doing this already, a truly person-centred organisation can be sure that they have the processes and structures in place to be doing this for everyone, all the time, wherever they are.
How can our bespoke support help organisations?
Our consulting offer is an entirely bespoke service, based on the needs and aspirations of our customers. The way we work will be different every time, but generally will fit within three distinct parts. You may want support with the whole journey, or just part of it.
Evaluating
To know where you need to go, it’s important to know where you’re starting from. Using our tried-and-tested tools and facilitation skills, we’ll work with your organisation to discover what’s working, what’s not, and where the are opportunities to get better. We can do this from a number of perspectives, such as the people you support or do business with, important people in their lives (such as their families), and your staff. This stage can also incorporate graphic recording, helping bring our learning to life for those with a more visual learning style. We’ll then bring this all together in a way that’s engaging and easy to understand, and can help you inform your future direction.
Co-producing a plan
Depending on the results of your evaluation, we’ll support you to plan your next steps in the short-, medium- and long-term. We’ll do this by bringing together a range of stakeholders, including customers or service users, families, staff and others; to create a truly co-produced plan that’s based on what really matters to people. We’ll record what we decide in the form of your organisational One Page Strategy, which will show what you intend to do and what success would look like if you make it happen. This provides a simple record that you can share with your stakeholders to keep them engaged with your vision.
Making it happen
Once the plan is in place, we can support you every step of the way to make it a reality. This can take many forms, from engaging the management team and wider workforce to working directly with service users, customers and their families. We can train your people in using person-centred thinking tools, such as One Page Profiles and Working / Not Working, to consistently bring person-centred thinking into the way you work. We can even train your staff to become trainers themselves, thus making the work truly embedded for the long-term. Our designers can create branded materials, and work alongside you to create effective communication plans. Through ongoing monitoring and evaluation we can identify success and areas that need further input, until we reach a point where you’re able to demonstrate and evidence true personalisation and co-production in a way that not only fits your statutory requirements, but also ensures that you’re doing the right thing for your stakeholders time after time.
